It is late Saturday evening and as usual, I am still packing. Being a true Californian, I have no concept of cold weather. So, I am trying not to pack my entire closet and take only the essentials.
I will spend most of Sunday getting to the DC area. In total, there are ten of us traveling to witness this historic event. Members of our team have been calling me all day about small details. It is really nervous and joyous energy. It is difficult to imagine the number of people planning to be in the area and the positive energy they will bring. In my mind, it seems as if there is a great migration from all across the country heading to one place. What a movement! What an exciting time to be alive.
Well, I've must finish packing and get a few hours of sleep before my 6:45 flight. I will keep you posted on what it feels like to witness this event.
